Definitely not! We use both traditional occupational therapy strategies along with these neurodevelopmental movements to support our clients in achieving their goals. We work with our clients, their interests and needs, and draw up a treatment plan according to their individual needs. This may not even include the neurodevelopmental movements.
During a session, we will have a discussion with you about your/ your child’s challenges and goals, assess your primitive reflexes, develop a personalized treatment plan based on your unique needs, and implement a variety of activities and exercises aimed at integrating primitive reflexes. Sessions may include movement-based activities, sensory experiences, and cognitive tasks to promote development and function.
This depends on your goals, challenges, needs and progress. We will work closely with you to establish realistic expectations and develop a treatment plan that best supports your needs. Consistent participation and practice outside of sessions are also key factors in achieving desired outcomes.

If you or your child are experiencing challenges related to any of the above symptoms mentioned, primitive reflex integration may be very beneficial. We recommend scheduling an initial evaluation to determine if this approach is suitable for your specific needs.
This approach can be used as a standalone therapy or integrated with other interventions, depending on individual needs and goals. We will work with you to create a comprehensive treatment plan that may include a combination of strategies to best support your progress.
